Aerial Thermography
See what is invisible to the naked eye. The M30T's professional thermal infrared camera reveals heat signatures, moisture intrusion, missing pets, and structural anomalies — day or night — from a safe aerial vantage point.
What the Thermal Camera Sees
These are actual thermal images captured by the DJI Matrice M30T — showing the world in heat signatures rather than visible light. Every color represents a temperature range, revealing details completely invisible to standard cameras or the human eye.
Aerial Thermal — Road & Agricultural Site
Thermal imaging reveals heat retention differences between pavement, crop rows, buildings, and vegetation. Yellow/orange areas indicate higher heat retention; dark purple areas are cooler — invaluable for infrastructure inspection, irrigation analysis, and site surveys.
Aerial Thermal — Roof Inspection
Thermal roof inspection clearly shows temperature differentials across the roof surface. Hot spots (yellow/orange) indicate heat loss, moisture intrusion, or insulation failure — identified from the air without a single person climbing onto the roof.
How Thermal Imaging Works
Every object with a temperature above absolute zero emits infrared radiation — a form of heat energy invisible to the human eye. The M30T's LWIR (Long-Wave Infrared) thermal sensor detects these heat emissions and converts them into a color-coded image where every shade represents a specific temperature range.
Warmer objects appear in yellows and oranges. Cooler objects appear in blues and purples. The M30T can detect temperature differences as small as 0.05°C (50 millikelvin) — far more sensitive than any hand-held thermal camera, and capable of finding anomalies that would be completely undetectable by any other method.
Based in the Treasure Valley Region of Idaho, Fly With Me operates the M30T thermography platform for clients throughout Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, Meridian, and the broader Southwest Idaho region — bringing enterprise-grade thermal capability to every project, large or small.
Day and night operations are both supported. In fact, many thermography applications — particularly lost pet searches and infrastructure inspection — are most effective at night, when ambient temperature differences are greatest and heat signatures are most distinct.
What Thermal Imaging Reveals
What We Use Thermography For
The M30T thermal camera is one of the most versatile tools in aerial imaging. Here are the key applications Fly With Me provides for clients throughout the Treasure Valley Region and Southwest Idaho.
Lost Pet Recovery
The most time-sensitive use of aerial thermography. Animals emit distinct heat signatures visible from the air — even hidden under bushes, in tall grass, or in complete darkness. Every minute counts when a pet is missing. Rapid response is our priority.
Roof Inspection
Thermal imaging identifies moisture intrusion, heat loss, insulation gaps, and structural issues across the entire roof surface — without anyone setting foot on the roof. Safer, faster, and more thorough than manual inspection.
Solar Panel Inspection
Identifies failing cells, bypass diode failures, and string faults across entire solar arrays. Thermal imaging catches performance losses before they become major failures — protecting your solar investment.
Infrastructure Inspection
Bridges, pipelines, electrical infrastructure, and industrial equipment can all be thermally surveyed from the air — identifying hot spots, structural anomalies, and potential failure points before they become emergencies.
Heat Loss & Energy Audits
Thermal imaging reveals exactly where a building is losing heat — identifying poorly insulated areas, failing windows, air leaks, and HVAC inefficiencies that drive up energy costs.
Search & Rescue Support
Human and animal body heat is clearly visible through thermal imaging even in dense vegetation, at night, and in conditions where visual search is impossible. A force-multiplier for search and rescue operations.
Lost Pet Thermal Search
When your pet goes missing, the clock starts immediately. Dogs and cats can cover surprising distances in a short time — and the longer the search takes, the larger the area to cover. Drone thermal imaging changes the odds dramatically.
From the air, an animal's body heat stands out clearly against the cooler ground — even in dense bushes, under decks, in culverts, and in complete darkness. A single drone flight can search an area that would take a ground team hours, in just minutes.
Steve's 17 years in emergency medicine mean he understands urgency. When you call about a missing pet, Fly With Me responds as quickly as possible — because in pet recovery, rapid response is everything.
Fly With Me is based in Caldwell, Idaho and serves the entire Treasure Valley Region — Boise, Nampa, Meridian, Caldwell, Middleton, Star, Eagle, and surrounding communities.
Don't wait until morning. Thermal imaging is often MORE effective at night — when ambient temperatures drop and your pet's body heat stands out even more clearly against the cool ground.
